Licensing & Credentials
We take regulations and safety seriously. Feral Up is fully licensed, certified, and insured to carry out professional feral animal control across NSW.
Our Licences, Certifications & Insurance
NSW Firearms Licence - Categories A/B
Government authorisation to use Category A and B firearms for pest control on rural properties. Meets all NSW Police requirements under the Firearms Act.
Ensures your pest controller is legally permitted to shoot feral animals on your land. You stay fully compliant with NSW law.
AHCPMG304 - Use Firearms to Humanely Destroy Animals
Nationally recognised certification covering firearm safety, species-specific shot placement, kill zone anatomy, minimum calibre selection, humane dispatch protocols, and confirmation of death procedures. The practical assessment requires five-shot groups inside an animal's kill zone at 100 metres with a centrefire rifle. Re-accreditation every five years.
Our operators have been tested and assessed to a national standard for humane pest animal destruction. Every animal is dispatched quickly with confirmed kill-zone shot placement. This is the industry standard certification for professional pest controllers in NSW.
AMPGAM303 - Use Firearms to Humanely Harvest Wild Game
Nationally recognised certification covering humane harvesting of wild game including kangaroos, deer, goats, and feral pigs. Covers the National Code of Practice for Humane Shooting of Kangaroos. Mandatory for commercial kangaroo harvesters since 2018. Same practical shooting assessment standard as AHCPMG304.
Confirms competency in humane dispatch of larger game species. Combined with AHCPMG304, this covers both pest destruction and game harvesting contexts for comprehensive professional qualification.
VPIT - Vertebrate Pesticide Induction Training
Certification required to handle and use vertebrate pesticides (1080, PAPP) for feral animal baiting programmes in NSW.
Allows us to offer baiting programmes as part of integrated pest management. Only VPIT-certified operators can purchase and use these restricted substances.
